Steve Kerr ponders sitting Steph Curry to get “his juices back” for last part of season
The Golden State Warriors have looked like a new team since the addition of Jimmy Butler, but the late surge is taking it’s toll on the Dubs biggest star.

The Golden State Warriors have made a meteoric rise up the Western Conference standings since trading for Jimmy Butler, but there could be signs of trouble as fatigue sets in late in the season.
Warriors dropped by shorthanded Denver
Steve Kerr said sitting his star scorer, Stephen Curry, is a real possibility on Tuesday night against Milwaukee after symptoms of wear and tear have started to show recently.
The Warriors lost to a Denver Nuggets team that didn’t play Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray or Christian Braun on Monday night. Curry not only struggled shooting the ball, but had trouble holding on to the rock as well. He went just 4/14 from behind the arc, and turned the ball over seven times as the Dubs lost 114-105 in the first game of a back-to-back series.

“He’s tired,” Kerr admitted after the loss to the Nuggets. “Steph’s been carrying us for a month. He’s been amazing. He’s tired, so we got to get him some rest. Just you can see it. He doesn’t have his energy right now.”
Health priority over standings
The Warriors may have got a massive boost by the trade that brought in Jimmy Butler, but since the trade, Golden State has leaned on Curry to lift them from a team that was sitting 11th in the West and are coming into tonight’s game against the Bucks 6th in the conference.

There is less than a month to go in the regular season, and the Warriors have 14 games left. While Kerr has stated avoiding the Play-In is the goal for this team, he knows keeping his guys fresh and healthy for a playoff push is going to be the most important thing.
“We’ve got to absolutely consider giving him a night and getting him rejuvenated for the sake of him and the remainder of our games. But we’ll see. I think he’s been tired the last few games, and so we’ve got to find a way to get him his juice back.”
