Timothée Chalamet has always been a Knicks diehard: This contest he won at 14 is the proof
The Hollywood star has been seen at MSG during the New York Knicks’ run to the Conference Final but he’s no fair-weather fan.
The New York Knicks return to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday evening for a first Eastern Conference Final in 25 years.
The Knicks have built up real momentum during this playoff run, drawing a crowd of A-list celebrities to MSG. One of the most notable - and most fervent - is actor Timothée Chalamet, who will almost certainly be in attendance for Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers.
Chalamet is a known sports fan and has previously showed his expertise on everything from college football to French soccer. He’s also a long-time fan of the Knicks, as this 15-year-old social media post shows...
Back in 2010 a 14-year-old ‘Tim Chalamet’ grabbed free Knicks tickets after winning a trivia competition with ex-Knicks stars Landry Fields and Andy Rautins. Chalamet answered the questions correctly and picked up the tickets, proving his love for the team.
Now 29, Chalamet is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and he’s making the most of this historic run. In the aftermath of last Friday’s win over the Boston Celtics he was filmed leaning out of the window of his car, celebrating with Knicks fans outside MSG.
He even missed this year’s Met Gala, opting instead to watch the first game of the Knicks-Celtics series at home on his iPad. After supporting a poor Knicks team throughout his childhood, Chalamet will not want to miss a second of this historic postseason run.
