When will Christian Wood return for Lakers in NBA playoffs against Nuggets?

After losing Game 1 against the Denver team in the playoffs, the boys from Los Angeles are hoping to offer something different to just LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Los Angeles Lakers faced a tough challenge in the first game of the playoff series, falling 114-103 during their visit to the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions. Coach Darvin Ham must employ a significant tactical adjustment to avoid being caught off guard and experiencing a sweep similar to last season.

Lakers expect Game 3 return for Wood

It has been revealed that the Lakers will welcome back a player who has been effective from beyond the three-point line (37.2% success rate), thus bolstering their front court for Game 3. Christian Wood, who has been sidelined since 14 February due to a knee injury, is set to return.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Lakers will benefit from Wood’s comeback. He underwent knee surgery last March and missed the remainder of the regular season.

Wood averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in the 50 games he played this season. His return adds an intriguing new dimension to the offense, potentially providing alternative assets alongside LeBron James (who scored 27 points) and Anthony Davis (with 32 points). Game 2 between the Lakers and Nuggets is on Monday at 10pm ET, while Game 3 is on Thursday 25 April, also at 10pm ET.
