Why did Miami suspend Jimmy Butler for the second time in a month?

The problems continue to pile up between the Miami Heat and wantaway guard Jimmy Butler.

The 35-year-old, who was recently hit with a seven-game suspension for publicly stating that he wants to leave the team, was punished again this week with a fresh two-game ban.

Butler fails to show at the airport

Butler tested the franchise’s patience once again for allegedly failing to show up for the team’s flight to Milwaukee for Thursday’s game against the Bucks.

He will miss Thursday’s matchup and also sit out Saturday’s game against the Nets in Brooklyn.

The six-time All-Star wants to be traded but is being very selective about where he wants to play next. Miami will listen to offers for him although there is a strong likelihood that Butler has already played his last game for the Heat.

Since returning from his suspension in the 133-113 defeat to the Nuggets on 17 January, Butler has made three appearances, and averaged 13 points 3.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists. Overall, he has averaged 17 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
