Will Anthony Edwards play in the crucial game for the Timberwolves to avoid the play-in?
The Timberwolves’ guard picked up a technical foul in Friday’s win against the Nets. Chris Finch has no injury concerns going into the game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves could seal their place in the 2025 NBA playoffs this evening. A victory against the Utah Jazz will be enough to secure a sixth seed in the Western Conference although there is also a chance that Chris Finch’s men could finish fourth - ensuring home advantage in the next round.
Heading into the game, the coach’s main concern was Anthony Edwards who picked up another technical foul in Friday’s 117-91 win against the Brooklyn Nets. It was his 18th tech this season.

The NBA’s stance on accumulated technical fouls
NBA rules state that any player who reaches 16 technical fouls during the regular season will be handed a one-game suspension. Each two additional technical fouls accumulated after that will trigger another suspension.
Edwards picked up a foul while pressuring Nets guard Keon Johnson outside the 3-point line halfway through the second quarter.
Edwards felt the decision was harsh, telling reporters after the game: “I tried to play good defense. They called a foul and he gave me a tech. I don’t feel like it should’ve been a tech, but me and [referee] Ray Acosta got a good relationship. We talked it out after the fact. But I don’t think I deserved a tech for just that little gesture.”
On Saturday, the NBA confirmed that they had reviewed the incident and rescinded the foul, leaving Edwards free to play Sunday’s pivotal season-decider against the Jazz.
