Will LeBron James play today for the Lakers against the Portland Trail Blazers?
The Lakers legend was a feature on the injury list last time out, and the situation remains similar.
The injury question surrounding LeBron James refuses to go away. The NBA legend is a feature on the latest official injury report for his side ahead of their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, but it’s not all bad news.
While he was listed as ‘questionable’ before the previous tie, a tight 134-132 loss against the Atlanta Hawks, James has since been upgraded to ‘probable’, meaning the team’s medical staff are clearly happy with his progress on the foot injury and see James' fitness only posing a slight risk.
What is LeBron James' record this season?
So far this season, LeBron has featured in all 23 of his team’s games, and is averaging 23 points in each of them. While this may seem impressive and means he is indeed fulfilling his target of playing in every single match, some fans are disgruntled at the fact that the XX-year-old, despite not being fit, is still an option for the coach.
But as James does, he silenced the critics in the previous game, managing 39 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists, along with three blocks and two steals in 43 minutes of play.
The Lakers badly need a fit and firing James, whose team have lost seven of their last nine games. Over the course of the season he has put up solid stats of 8.0 rebounds, 9.1 assists, and 0.7 steals while shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from three in 35.0 minutes per game.
As for other Lakers players, Anthony Davis (plantar fasciitis) is probable, while Austin Reaves (contusion) is a doubt; Jaxson Hayes (ankle sprain), Jarred Vaderbilt (foot) and Christian Wood (knee) are all listed as out.
