2024 March Madness Final Four: preview

Bidding to become the first team to win March Madness in back-to-back years since the Florida Gators in 2007, UConn booked their Final Four spot by beating the Illinois Fighting Illini 77-52 at the Elite 8 stage on Saturday.

While the Huskies have reached the Final Four for the third season in a row, Alabama have made it to the showpiece event for the first time.

The Crimson Tide stamped their ticket to the Grand Canyon State by downing the Clemson Tigers 89-82 in the Elite 8 at the weekend.

Meanwhile, the NC State Wolfpack saw off the Duke Devils 76-64 in the Elite 8 on Sunday. The North Carolinians secured their first Final Four place since 1983 - but Purdue have ended an even longer wait.

The Boilermakers’ 72-66 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers left them one step away from the national championship game for the first time since 1980.
