Antonio Brown and his controversies, among the most searched on Google
Despite being retired, wide receiver Antonio Brown was among the most searched people in the United States on Google, thanks to his controversies.
After being embroiled in a scandal during a game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets, wide receiver Antonio Brown announced his retirement from the NFL. However, he continues to be a very controversial athlete who draws people’s attention.
Despite no longer playing in the league, Brown was the most Googled athlete in America, beating out Serena Williams, Joe Burrow, Aaron Judge and Manti Te’o.
To say that Brown has had a rough year would be an understatement. From his somewhat one-sided fight with Tom Brady to an arrest warrant, the player-turned-rapper’s 2022 has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Regardless of the nature of the news, it has certainly kept the wide receiver in the spotlight.
Brown’s breakup with Brady
The relationship between Tom Brady and Antonio Brown was fraying within the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and after the breakup between the quarterback and model Gisele Bündchen, the former receiver made fun of the winner of seven Super Bowl rings.
Brown has lashed out at Brady on more than one occasion this season in which the veteran has suffered poor statistics in his game. The future Hall of Famer’s team is 6-6 despite leading their division.

Brown involved Brady’s now-ex-wife in the situation. He began sharing photoshopped photos of the Brazilian supermodel, one of them showing him embracing her and another of Bundchen naked. Noticing his continued efforts to humiliate Brady and disrespect Bundchen, fans criticized Brown for his behavior.
In addition to these controversies, in early December, Florida authorities issued an arrest warrant against the 34-year-old on charges of intentional assault against another person, allegedly his ex-wife.
