The Chicago Bears are set to face the Carolina Panthers tonight. In their final injury reports, both teams have revealed.

Tyson Bagent will start at quarterback again for the Bears. He’s filling in for Justin Fields the last three games and has shown some impressive skills, but he has become turnover-prone, with six turnovers in his past two games.

Although coach Matt Ebrflus said that Justin Fields is “progressing every day,” he confirmed that Fields is not medically cleared yet. The official injury report lists Fields as doubtful with a right thumb injury he sustained on October 15. However, Eberflus has stated that Fields is out and that Bagent will start, with Nathan Peterman as the backup.

Fields will have the opportunity to throw and assess his feelings during pregame on Thursday, which is why he has been designated doubtful.

Chicago’s injury report also lists Khari Blasingame, Nate Davis, Tremaine Edmunds, Terell Smith, and Justin Fields as out. In addition, Khalil Herbert, Josh Blackwell, and Equanimeous St. Brown are questionable, but all three are in their 21-day practice window off of injured reserve. If they are activated, the Bears must make a corresponding roster move.

The Carolina Panthers will be without two-star players, linebacker Brian Burns and wide receiver DJ Chark. The team has shared the complete injury report.

The Panthers have placed their linebacker/special teamer, Luiji Vilain, on injured reserve. He injured his knee last Sunday in a loss to the Colts. He will be out for at least four games. In a significant injury announcement, Coach Frank Reich said that star rusher Brian Burns will not play Thursday night against the Bears due to concussion protocol.
