Dante Fowler’s angry rant on X: Here’s what he said before it was deleted
The Washington Commanders defensive end is looking for a fair pay raise for his hard work last season, and took to social media to express his indignation.

Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, the Washington Commanders added head coach Dan Quinn, who left the Dallas Cowboys as their defensive coordinator. He took a few of Dallas' players with him too, including defensive end Dante Fowler.
Both moves turned out to be another of the best Washington made that offseason.
Fowler demanding more from Commanders after standout season
Last season, Fowler signed a one-year, $3.2 million deal with Washington. By the end of the season, he led the Commanders defense with 10.5 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss, plus had 12 quarterback hits. After a season like that, he’s looking for a pay raise.

There’s no reason the Commanders shouldn’t be able to afford that for Fowler as they have an abundance of cap space. And Sportrac has Fowler’s market value at $5.2 million APY. But they haven’t done it yet and free agency officially opens on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
This has Fowler pretty upset, especially considering other pass rushers in the league are being signed for $35 million+, and he took to social media to express his dissatisfaction with not one, but two posts, the second of which has since been deleted.
The first simply read: “The disrespect.. I can’t take it anymore.‘’

The next one was a full-on rant: “I play half the snaps and got the same stats of the people y’all be d*** riding. Make it make sense fr I’m tired of this [poop emoji].‘’

The Commanders have been focusing on offense in the free agency thus far, but they can’t neglect their defense. Fowler is definitely trying not to let them forget that.
