Did Taylor Swift have Kanye West kicked out of Super Bowl LVIII? He says no

The controversial rapper/artist has now pushed back on reports that he was removed from last Sunday’s Super Bowl at the request of the pop sensation.

It could be argued that the recently concluded NFL season was as much about Taylor Swift as it was about football. Indeed, from the moment news of her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce went public, Swift hysteria took over the nation and its favorite sport. For some, it was a novel distraction, while it became a source of contention for others. Regardless, it was extremely good for business and the NFL embraced every moment of it.

So what’s this about Taylor Swift and Kanye West?

Even if you missed the big game, you will know by now that the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers to win Super Bowl LVIII this past Sunday. It was the third time in five years that the Chiefs have lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy. Of course, as the fireworks exploded and the confetti drifted through the air, many eyes turned to a certain pop star making her way to the field to congratulate her new boyfriend on his team’s big win. Needless to say many were thrilled to watch the pair, except maybe one person who according to reports earlier this week, wouldn’t have been there to see it. That individual is of course 24-time Grammy Award winner, Kanye West, who it was said was removed from the stadium at the behest of Swift.

Regarding how the situation came to light, that would be down to Brandon Marshall, a now-retired wide receiver who played for both the Denver Broncos and New York Jets and was a 6-time Pro Bowler. As you would have seen in our previous article, Marshall claimed during a recent podcast that West attempted to “buy a ticket right in front of (Swift’s) booth” so that TV cameras would show West instead of Swift, only for Swift to “make a call or two” which resulted in West being “kicked out of the stadium.” Here comes the plot twist. According to TMZ, that never happened.

What’s really happened between Kanye West and Taylor Swift?

At this point, it’s hard to say. We do know that West was photographed inside Allegiant Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday, while Swift was seen on multiple occasions during the TV broadcast especially when she made her way onto the field for the Chiefs’ victory celebrations. If we do know anything, it’s that there is some bad blood between the two artists.

You may recall the infamous moment when West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in an effort to promote Beyoncé whom he felt should have won the award. This is to say there is a past, but we know nothing of the present. At any rate, Marshall’s account seems less credible when you consider the fact that he misidentified Swift as fellow pop icon Katy Perry when he initially made the claims earlier this week. You be the judge.
