The biggest sporting event of the year in the United States takes place next Sunday in New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs looks to create NFL history by securing three back-to-back Super Bowl wins.

Their rivals at the Caesars Superdome will be out to avenge their 2023 defeat in Arizona when the were beaten by the Chiefs with an enthralling contest in prospect.

Sunday’s final will also see the presence of a giant piece of fruit wearing a blue and white soccer jersey as SuperPepino, the iconic mascot of Spanish soccer club CD Leganés' is in town.

The giant cucumber mascot is Spanish football’s most famous and boasts a massive range of bespoke merchandise and has even established a friendship with Mr. Dillon (mascot of Portland Pickles baseball team).

CD Leganés (with the town traditionally famed for their agricultural heritage) are owned by the American group Blue Crow Sports, with club president, Jeff Luhnow, a well known name in the world of MLB having worked with the St.Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros.
