How to watch Raiders vs Rams?
Thursday Night Football is now exclusively broadcast on Amazon Prime, although local markets can still watch the game on television.
Raiders vs Rams: Salvaging pride
The defending Super Bowl champion Rams are struggling mightily, particularly now that Matthew Stafford has been ruled out for the season with a spinal cord contusion. They are a team whose post-season hopes are completely gone and will now be playing for pride.
The Raiders, however, still have the slimmest of chances to make the playoffs, and will be looking to salvage more than just pride. They need a win and will throw everything at the Rams in order to get one.
No love lost between the Raiders and the Rams
These two teams have a rivalry that is on a low simmer rather than a furious boil, and it goes back decades, with both of them at one time or another sharing the Los Angeles market.
Having said that, they have never been in the same conference and even when they were in the same city, they attracted a wildly different fanbase. While the Rams and Chargers are busy dividing up the Hollywood A-list, the Raiders long ago conquered the latino and working-class sections of Los Angeles.
Raiders vs Rams: The Prediction
While they are struggling with injury issues of their own, the Raiders have been impressive in tight matchups throughout the season, and with the Rams effectively rudderless at the moment, they should be able to cover.
The Raiders are coming off of three straight wins and will be looking to stretch that in SoFi on Thursday. With the Raiders as six-point favorites, the game should be a tight one, but given the problems on the Los Angeles side of the equation, they should easily cover that spread.
We will call this one a wide 21-10 victory to Las Vegas.
