According to various reports, pizza is the ultimate dish for Super Bowl Sunday, followed by wings or boneless wings, burgers, fries, vegetables, and pretzels for dipping. When it comes to dips and dressings, guacamole is the star of the event.
In 2024, Americans spent an average of $86 on food and drinks for the Super Bowl, according to data from the National Retail Federation (NRF). However, this year, football fans are expected to see an increase in their grocery bills for the big game.
Here’s how much more you’ll pay for Super Bowl snacks: The products that have increased the most since last year
For 2025, Americans are expected to spend around $142 on Super Bowl snacks, according to estimates from LendingTree. A separate analysis by the Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute indicates that the game day menu will cost around $139.
The food item that has increased the most in price is wings or boneless wings, which have risen by 7% compared to last year. Wells Fargo estimates also show that avocados and cherry tomatoes will increase by about 11% compared to twelve months ago. As for beverages, beer and wine have gone up by 2%.
In this regard, NielsenIQ ranks celery and broccoli as the best vegetables for dipping this year, as their prices have dropped compared to last year, along with potato chips, frozen shrimp, and cauliflower.
