Update:

The Indianapolis Colts have officially transitioned ownership following the passing of longtime owner and CEO Jim Irsay, who died at age 65 on May 21, 2025.

As per the longstanding succession plans laid out by Jim, his three daughters have taken on the franchise, ensuring the team remains firmly within the Irsay family.

Carlie Irsay‑Gordon, the eldest daughter, has been appointed the team’s principal owner and CEO. She has full ownership responsibilities and will serve on the Colts’ executive team.

Who owns the Indianapolis Colts after Jim Irsay’s death?

Casey Foyt assumes the role of owner and executive vice president, bringing years of experience from her work in NFL marketing, community relations, and international game planning.

Kalen Jackson becomes owner and chief brand officer, while maintaining her position as president of the Indianapolis Colts Foundation. She has also overseen the franchise’s philanthropic initiatives for years.

All three sisters have been part of the Colts organisation since 2012, serving as vice chairs before this move. Their new titles reflect their longstanding involvement and the completion of Jim Irsay’s succession strategy.

The Irsay family’s ownership of the Colts dates back to 1972 when Robert Irsay acquired the franchise. Jim inherited the team in 1997, leading it through one of its most successful eras—sixteen playoff berths, ten division titles, two AFC championships, and a victory in Super Bowl XLI. He passed away at the age of 65 on May 21 2025.
