Update:

The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions for just the second time in their history after a comprehensive victory in New Orleans over the Kansas City Chiefs, who dismally failed in their attempt to clinch a first ever Super Bowl ‘three-peat’.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts, named the game’s MVP, was the star of the show as the Eagles took control of the game from the off, racing into a 24-0 halftime lead, which meant the final 40-22 result was never seriously in doubt.

That allowed fans in Philadelphia, parts of which have been brought to a standstill, to begin their celebrations early, safe in the knowledge their team wouldn’t be pegged back. And the festivities will continue for at least another few days, culminating, officially at least, with the Eagles’ champions parade.

Eagles drop huge hint at Super Bowl parade date

As it stands, there has been no official news as to when it will take place, although the team itself has dropped a huge hint on social media.

Several hours after their Super Bowl victory was confirmed, the Eagles posted a semi-cryptic video on X, voiced by famous fan Bradley Cooper and depicting a super-slow motion crawl down Broad Street.

“At 13 miles, Broad Street is Philadelphia’s longest straightaway,” explains Cooper. “It runs north to south, right through the heat of the city. And it just so happens to wind up down by Lincoln Financial Field. It may only be 100ft wide, but we’ll find a way to make room for everyone”.

The accompanying caption reads: “Thought it was time to bring this out again. See ya Friday”. Understandably, Eagles fans are putting two and two together, and believe the Super Bowl parade will be held on Friday, February 14.

As soon as that is confirmed, this article will be updated.

What route will the Eagles' Super Bowl parade take?

Similarly, there is no official news as to what route the parade will take, although we have a rough idea.

After the Eagles’ first Super Bowl victory in 2018, the parade started at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, near Lincoln Financial Field, and may its way north along Broad Street through downtown Philadelphia, passing City Hall before turning off to conclude at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
