Trevon Diggs returns to Cowboys active roster ahead of must-win game
The cornerback has been absent since sustaining a concussion in an at-home accident in October, missing a crucial two months of the NFL season.

The Dallas Cowboys look set to welcome back cornerback Trevon Diggs for Sunday’s must-win game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler, has been absent since the October 12 loss to the Carolina Panthers after suffering an at-home accident. The team reported that he had sustained a concussion in the incident and was placed on injured reserve on October 25, giving him the opportunity to recover from a knee complaint.
The Cowboys activated Diggs off the injured reserve list on Saturday, giving him the chance to play against the Chargers. Dallas placed injured cornerback DaRon Bland on the injured reserve to make space for the returning Diggs.

Had the Cowboys not activated Diggs on Saturday he would have reverted back to injured reserve for the remainder of the 2025 NFL season.
“I’ll say this, when you look at Trevon this week, what I’ve loved the most about him is he’s having fun playing football,” Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters. “He’s smiling, running around, but he’s, to his credit, he’s having a really good week.”
The Cowboys go into Sunday’s game with a 6-7-1 record on the season, giving them a narrow route to the postseason. They take on the 10-4 Chargers, who are still battling to claim top spot in the AFC West.
