Troy Aikman calls out Jordan Love during Packers’ ugly loss to Eagles
The ESPN analyst didn’t hold back as Green Bay’s offense stalled again vs the Eagles on Monday Night Football.

It was a rough night in Green Bay for the Packers, their fans, and anyone tuning in to Monday Night Football.
Facing the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense looked lifeless for most of the night, failing to score a single point in the first half and managing little rhythm even after halftime.

By the third quarter, frustration had clearly set in, not only in Lambeau Field, but also in the ESPN broadcast booth. During a 3rd-and-9 attempt from the Eagles’ 41-yard line, Love threw an incomplete pass to Romeo Doubs, prompting Troy Aikman to deliver a sharp on-air critique.

“I think this pass rush is really unsettling Jordan Love,” Aikman said. “Romeo Doubs runs a nice route … there’s nobody in the middle of the field. If Love is just able to lay that ball over the linebacker, you’ve got a lot of area to put the football. Jordan just has not been able to get comfortable.”
It was a brutally honest assessment, and one that Packers fans likely agreed with. Love has struggled to find consistency this season, and Monday was no exception.
Still, not all of the blame falls on the quarterback. Green Bay’s offensive line woes have become impossible to ignore. Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins exited the game early, forcing Sean Rhyan into emergency duty at center, and the protection issues only worsened from there.
Love faced constant pressure, often having to get the ball out faster than he wanted. That resulted in rushed passes, missed reads, and multiple sacks. Through eight games, Love has already been sacked 11 times, and his timing continues to suffer behind an unsteady o-line.
By the start of the fourth quarter, the Packers still hadn’t scored, which is a stunning statistic in today’s pass-heavy, point-friendly NFL.
The Packers looks uncertain, uncomfortable, and unable to move the ball when it matters most. And as Aikman’s comments made clear, even the broadcast booth is running out of patience.
