It’s time to take a look and find out what teams need to qualify for the playoffs.

Team scenarios in the American Conference

Kansas City Chiefs

  • The Chiefs can get the No. 1 seed in the AFC if they win against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Bills lose against the Patriots.

Buffalo Bills

  • Those from Buffalo can consolidate their lead in the American League with a win against the New England Patriots and a loss by the Chiefs.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • The Bengals have already been declared champions of the AFC North, following the cancelation of the Monday Night Football game of Week 17 against the Bills.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • A win against the Tennessee Titans secures the AFC South title.

Tennessee Titans

  • Similarly, if they win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they win the AFC South title.
  • If they lose, they could still get their berth to the playoffs with losses to the Patriots, Dolphins and Steelers.

New England Patriots

  • With a victory, they secure their qualification to the postseason.
  • If they lose, they need Miami, Pittsburgh and Tennessee to lose their games to be able to move on to the postseason.

Miami Dolphins

  • Those from Miami clinch their pass to the playoffs with a victory against the New York Jets and if New England loses their game.

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • They ensure their classification to the Wild Card with a victory against the Browns, and if the Patriots and Dolphins lose.
