Things are red hot in the American Conference in Week 18, the last stretch of the regular season.
It’s time to take a look and find out what teams need to qualify for the playoffs.
Team scenarios in the American Conference
Kansas City Chiefs
- The Chiefs can get the No. 1 seed in the AFC if they win against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Bills lose against the Patriots.
Buffalo Bills
- Those from Buffalo can consolidate their lead in the American League with a win against the New England Patriots and a loss by the Chiefs.
Cincinnati Bengals
- The Bengals have already been declared champions of the AFC North, following the cancelation of the Monday Night Football game of Week 17 against the Bills.
Jacksonville Jaguars
- A win against the Tennessee Titans secures the AFC South title.
Tennessee Titans
- Similarly, if they win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they win the AFC South title.
- If they lose, they could still get their berth to the playoffs with losses to the Patriots, Dolphins and Steelers.

Miami Dolphins
- Those from Miami clinch their pass to the playoffs with a victory against the New York Jets and if New England loses their game.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- They ensure their classification to the Wild Card with a victory against the Browns, and if the Patriots and Dolphins lose.
