Jerry Jones has been the owner of the Dallas Cowboys since 1989. Since then, he’s created a $9 billion franchise - one that sees great business success year after year despite the lack of titles the team actually wins.

Jones was 46 years old when he took over as owner of the Cowboys. Now, at 81 years old, Jones continues to be the owner, general manager, and president. Together with his wife Eugenia, he has three children who all also work within the organization. Let’s take a look at who they are and what each of them does with the Dallas Cowboys.

Jerry Jones’ children

Stephen Jones

Stephen is Jerry’s first-born son, born in 1964. In 1988, he graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in chemical engineering. He played for the Razorbacks football team for four years as a linebacker and on special teams. The same year that Jerry bought the Cowboys, Stephen started working in the organization as well.

Stephen currently serves as the chief operating officer, executive vice president, and director of player personnel. He is responsible for managing all operations for the team and stadium, as well as overseeing the scouting and player personnel department.

He also helps manage the salary cap, player contracts, recruitment, and events at the stadium and The Star in Frisco. He is the most likely to take over fully for Jerry when he is no longer the owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

Stephen lives in Highland Park in Dallas with his wife Karen. Together they have four children.

Charlotte Jones

Charlotte Jones is Jerry’s middle child, born in 1966. She graduated from Stanford University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in human biology. From 1989-1990, Charlotte worked for U.S. Representative Tommy F. Robinson, overseeing the office and legislative staff. Like Stephen, she began working for the Cowboys the same year her father bought the franchise, in 1989.

Charlotte is now the executive vice president and chief brand officer of the Dallas Cowboys. She manages anything that has to do with the Cowboys brand, including business operations, fan engagement, marketing, stadium design, licensed apparel, and community relations. As part of the marketing department, Charlotte is also in charge of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the Cowboys mascot Rowdy.

Charlotte Jones’ salary and net worth

In 2010, she was appointed as the chairman of the Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board, the first woman to ever serve in that position. In 2012, she was named chairperson of the NFL Foundation. She leads philanthropic events in player care, youth football, and medical research.

Charlotte was married to David “Shy” Anderson for 31 years and together they have three children, but they divorced in 2022. Her ex-husband Shy also worked for the Cowboys as the COO of the organization’s entry into the Arena Football League, the Dallas Desperados, but stopped working for them in 2018. She is now engaged to Amir Rozadowski.

Charlotte travels across the United States to speak at philanthropic initiatives and brand innovation and currently lives in Dallas, Texas.

Jerry Jones Jr.

Jerry Jr. is the youngest of Jerry Jones’ three children, born in 1969. He received his Bachelor’s degree in political science from Georgetown University in 1992 before earning his law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1995.

Jerry Jr. joined the Cowboys organization in 1996 as the vice president and general counsel, negotiating rookie contracts, local radio and television broadcast rights fees, and sponsorship agreements. In 2001, he became the Cowboys’ chief marketing officer as well as the president and general manager of the Dallas Desperados. Jerry Jr.’s current title with the Cowboys is executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. As such, he oversees all marketing and sales efforts.

Jerry Jr. has one daughter with actress Janine Turner and two other children with his current wife, Lori Lemon. He and his wife and children live together in Dallas, Texas.

Does Jerry Jones have an estranged daughter?

In 2022, Jerry Jones was sued by Alexandra Davis, a woman claiming to be his daughter. She said that Jones paid her mother, Cynthia Davis, $375,000 in hush money. Court documents show that Jones agreed to financially support Alexandra and her mother in return for never publicly acknowledging him as the farther. In her lawsuit, she sought to declare she was no longer bound by that agreement.

Davis later dropped the lawsuit and pursued a paternity test instead. In February of 2024, a judge upheld the decision requiring Jones to take the paternity test, rejecting his appeal. DNA tests proved that the man Cynthia Davis was married to when Alexandra was born is not the father. Whether Jones has taken the paternity test yet is not clear, and the results have not been made public if he has.
