Aleksandre and Ilia Topuria turn their backs on the one thing that made them so successful
The two Spanish-Georgian brothers will have their own team after parting ways with the Climents, with whom they reached elite status in the UFC.

Ilia Topuria and his brother Aleksandre are parting ways with Jorge and Agustín Climent’s gym in Alicante, where they have trained for the past 13 years. During that time, they rose to the top of the UFC, guided by the Climent brothers’ support and expertise.
This split will be evident at the upcoming UFC 317, where Ilia Topuria is set to face Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title. For the first time, he will enter the octagon with his own team in his corner, rather than the Climent brothers—who were by his side for all 16 of his professional victories.
With this move, the Topuria brothers begin a new chapter, aiming to build on their success and add more wins and titles. While they now move forward independently, the Climent brothers remain a key part of their story, having helped lay the groundwork for their careers.
