How much prize money does the winner get at the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open?
The USGA recently announced the total prize money payout for the U.S. Women’s Open. Mao Saigo is looking to repeat her 2024 title.

The U.S. Women’s Open got underway on Thursday May 29, at Erin Hills, just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Unlike in the men’s game, the women have had five majors to compete for since 2013, with Women’s PGA Championship , the Evian Championship and the Women’s Open, all to follow this summer.
Mao Saigo was the winner of the first major of the year at the Chevron Championship in April. This year Nelly Korda is looking to get off to a hot start as she battles in the same group on Thursday and Friday with Lexi Thompson and Charley Hull.
The second round isn't *quite* complete yet, but these players all finished their rounds and are a shoo-in for moving day 📦

Korda will be going in search of her third major victory after also triumphing at the Women’s PGA Championship in 2021. In addition to the world number one, all eyes will be on Lexi Thompson, who will be taking part in the event despite saying she would be retiring at the end of the 2024 season.
2025 U.S. Women’s Open prize money: winner and total purse
The payout and amount for the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open is the same as last year when Yuka Saso earned $2.4 million for her win and the rest of the players shared the $12 million purse. The total prize money continues to grow in other majors too. The Chevron Championship had a total purse of $8 million this year and we’ll ahve to wait and see how much the PGA Championship, the AIG Women’s Open and the Evian Championship pay out in 2025.
