We are at the halfway point of the group stage of the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League, with some clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City, on the verge of securing their place in the knockout rounds and others on the brink of elimination. Matchday four takes place on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 November.

Manchester City and Barcelona headline Tuesday’s Champions League action

Groups E to H take centre stage on Tuesday, with Barcelona taking on Shakhtar Donetsk in Hamburg, Germany in Group H one of the two early kick-offs (12:45 p.m. ET). A fourth win in a row will see Xavi Hernández’s team progress to the round of 16.

The other 12:45 p.m. ET start sees Borussia Dortmund host Newcastle United in Group F in what is arguably the pick of the fixtures on matchday four.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will also book their place in the knockout rounds with two matches to spare if, as expected, they defeat Swiss side Young Boys at the Etihad.
