Clausura 2023 staying open

According to data from Ricardo Salazar, a statistical analyst for TUDN, the added time for matches in the Clausura 2023 tournament has increased, on average, up to six minutes more than last season. This means that the five minutes that, on average, were added in the 2022 Apertura per game, has lengthened to 11 minutes in the current campaign.

According to this data, in the 25 games that have been played so far in the Clausura 2023, a total of 298 minutes have been added. In that period of added time there have been five goals, two penalties, 17 cautions and eight substitutions.

Speaking of just the first half, there have been 119 minutes added on, with 179 minutes coming just before the final whistle.
