At Balaídos on Saturday, Ancelotti will have to make more changes due to more injuries and the departure of Casemiro. Although not yet official, Casemiro is set to join Manchester United, with Ancelotti admitting on Friday the midfielder wanted to leave the club. Toni Kroos will also miss out due to flu, forcing the Italian to make changes in the engine room. Dani Ceballos could make a start after impressing in training.
Dani Carvajal is expected to return to the side after being left out in Almería to recover from an ankle injury. Karim Benzema and Vinicius are looking to open their scoring account for the season.
Celta started the season with a 2-2 draw at home to Espanyol. The Galician side conceded a 98th-minute penalty, which Joselu dispatched to grab a late point. Eduardo Coudet’s side will be hoping for an early-season upset when they welcome Los Blancos.
