Dani Alves’ family, their lawyer and his ex-wife taking a stance
Further reports are coming out of Brazil with the player’s first wife and his brothers making their own statements.
The family of Dani Alves is dismayed by the situation of the footballer, who has already spent his second night in the Brians 1 prison in Barcelona. Ney Alves, the player’s brother, has spoken with the Spanish TV show Fiesta and has stated that they want to change lawyer.
“We find ourselves powerless here. I think the lawyer is not doing it well”, he said from Brazil in reference to Miraida Puente Wislon. The wish of the family, very concerned about the situation of the player, who is the financial support of the entire clan, would be to hire jurist Andrés Marhuenda Martínez, and have him visit him in prison to design an appropriate strategy to defend the player”.
It must be remembered that, so far, the Brazilian has given three versions of what happened. His ex-wife and representative believes in his innocence
Before marrying Joana Sanz, the Brazilian player was married to Dinora Santana, who is also his manager and with whom he had two children. Santana, who is in Barcelona and found out about the footballer’s imprisonment from his current lawyer, believes in his innocence.
“Dani would never, ever do this. Never,“ said Santana. “I’m telling you, I’ve known him for 22 years, and I’ve been married to him for 10 years,” she added.
She also said that her family is devastated. “It has been a shock for me and my children. They are having a very hard time”, she said in reference to the two adolescent children they have in common. As for the family members that are in Brazil, she said that “they are nervous and overwhelmed because they want to see him, but they can’t”.
“I know he’s sad, but he’s okay. He is arranging everything himself with his lawyers. I am here to do whatever it takes to help him,” she added. “I’m still scared. It seems that it is a nightmare and that it is not happening”, she added.
Dinora Santana, who is also the administrator of the footballer’s fortune, explained that the player asked her to call him: “He told his lawyer to call me to solve the most urgent things, but I have not been able to contact him. I couldn’t go see him. His lawyer says that she is penalized by law and that she cannot say anything. She can only tell me that he is fine”, she said regarding the confidentiality that the lawyer should have about the process.
“His lawyer says that she cannot say anything. She just told me she’s working on the case to help him, and that she cannot be dealing with everyone. Only Miraida (his lawyer) has been able to see him,” she said.
Alves’ parents want to come to Spain
Fiesta also spoke with another of the player’s brothers, Junior Alves, who was very moved by the situation and couldn’t stop crying. “I can not take it anymore. This is too much. It is forbidden to visit him. I don’t know what else to do,” he said.
Junior Alves is currently flying to Spain and his intention is to also take the soccer player’s parents to Barcelona. “We will sacrifice our lives if necessary to get him out of this hell,” he concluded.
