The Liga MX transfer market is still red hot with more movements expected over the coming days. The latest player who could soon be on the move is Chivas Guadalajara midfielder Jesús Molina, who is on the agenda of UNAM Pumas.

According to reports by Fox Deportes, the 34-year-old Mexican midfielder is in the plans of recently-appointed Pumas coach Rafael Puente del Río. Molina has not had much playing time in the new Rojiblanca era and is considering leaving. It is looking increasingly likely that he will not renew his contract and will move on as a free agent.

Molina and the Liga MX’s big three

In the event that a deal is finalized, Molina will have defended the shirts of three of the most clubs in the Liga MX. He was with América from 2011 to 2015 then Deportivo Guadalajara from 2019 to 2022, the year his contract is due to run out.

As Molina will soon be out of contract, Universidad Nacional would not have to negotiate with Chivas and would only arrange the contractual terms of the transfer directly with the player.
