Juventus are suffering on and off the pitch. Their run of eight consecutive wins without conceding a single goal came to an end with the 5-1 defeat to Napoli and since then the Bianconeri have also been deducted 15 points.

They were held to a 3-3 draw with Atalanta and today they lost 2-0 to Monza, who under Palladino are performing like never before. With the victory over Juve, Monza have now gone six games without defeat and are just ahead of Allegri’s side, who are 12th in the standings.

Monza cause upset in Turin

The Brianzoli started very strongly, taking advantage of a shaky Juventus, who started with Di Maria and Kean up front. After Caprari’s goal was disallowed for offside, the visitors took the lead in the 18th minute thanks to a through ball from Machin to Ciurria, who smashed the ball past Szczesny. Before the break, Monza extended their lead with a spectacular run from Augusto, who set up Mota in front of the keeper, who he dribbled past before slotting home.

Allegri brought on Milik and Vlahovic for the first time since October to increase his side’s attacking prowess but Di Gregorio was there to deny them on several occasions. In their last three games, the Bianconeri have conceded 10 goals and a disastrous season goes from bad to worse.
