The Mbappé saga seems like it has no end. Yesterday, PSG announced the list of players that would be travelling to Japan for their pre-season tour... with no Kylian Mbappé. A way to pressure the player, it seems, a method of trying to make him show his hand, to renew or leave this summer.

Qatar consider the Frenchman the best player in the world right now, and he will not leave for free - like he says he will - next summer. PSG have therefore put the forward on the transfer market and are ready to negotiate with anyone who comes knocking, including Real Madrid, as long as he does not go for free.

The forward only wants one club

Given this situation, it is no surprise that information has been flooding in regarding a number of teams that would be interested in acquiring the player. However, despite the offers that may arrive, Mbappé himself has one thing clear in his mind: he wants Real Madrid.

According to L’Èquipe, “it’s almost impossible that Mbappé goes to a team that’s not Real Madrid”. And they are not alone in their reporting of the story: PSG Community, the first outlet to release the information that concurs with the story run by the French newspaper.

Mbappé in line for a €40 million loyalty bonus

Mbappé, according to RMC, wants to continue to play for PSG for the year that remains on his contract, potentially given the huge loyalty bonus that is on the horizon. However, in the case that he leaves this summer, it will only be to go to Real Madrid.

Saudi Arabia want to sign the 24-year-old World Cup winner, and are ready to offer €200 million to do so; as for the Premier League, Chelsea are the main party keen on sealing a deal, and will of course offer a huge sum of cash to the French club. PSG could well arrive at an agreement with either of the teams mentioned, but Mbappé's blood runs white: the only way out is via Madrid.
