After several years of preseason tours in Asia and Oceania, Manchester United, one of the most popular clubs in the United States, will return to North American soil to prepare for the 2023-24 Premier League season, according to multiple reports in England.

The Daily Star report that Erik ten Hag’s side will visit Las Vegas this summer for the first time in their history to play a friendly against a Premier League club at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders and which hosted El Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona last summer.

Regardless of the possible change of ownership that is expected this year at Old Trafford, United see their visit to the United States and especially to Las Vegas as an opportunity to explore a new commercial market and they have high expectations for this first time in the so-called ‘Sin City’.

The English club are also contemplating other cities on both the East and West Coasts to play matches in front of their fans in those areas.

Ten Hag prepares tough disciplinary measures for preseason in the US

The visit to Las Vegas will be taken seriously by manager Ten Hag, who plans to test the discipline of his players in a city that is considered for its great entertainment and nightlife.

When was the last time Man United visited the United States?

The return to preseason in the United States, and in particular Las Vegas, will represent United’s first visit to the USA in five years. The last time the Red Devils were on North American soil was in 2018 when under Jose Mourinho they faced San Jose Earthquakes and Club América.
