Kepa returns

Carlo Ancelotti will be able to call on Kepa for the clash with Granada on Saturday, but prefers not to take any risks with Luka Modric, knowing that there will be a more relaxed week ahead, as Los Blancos don’t play again until next Saturday against Real Betis (9 December). Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler have already been seen training at Valdebebas and could be close to a return.

The Italian will once again call up Mario Martín, Nico Paz, Theo and Gonzalo. Lucas Cañizares is also back as the third-choice goalkeeper. The doubts lie the physical conditions of some of the players who played against Napoli, such as Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Dani Ceballos (who returned after nearly a month out through injury) and Brahim, who picked up a knock.

The other doubt centres on who will be Rodrygo’s partner in attack. Against Napoli it was Brahim, who was more than adequate against Napoli, and Ancelotti may continue to give the Malagueño playing time. Joselu could start on the bench and come on later on. Joselu closed out the scoring against the Italians, despite having had several chances to have scored earlier.

Possible Real Madrid XI

Lunin; Carvajal, Rüdiger, Alaba, Mendy; Ceballos, Valverde, Kroos, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Brahim.
