Adidas transmits “elegance” with a design that recovers gold trimming. The crew neck collar also returns and “Hala Madrid!” motif on the neck. Alaba was the master of ceremonies.

After a four-year absence, gold returns to Real Madrid’s first kit. The colour chosen to accompany the indisputable white, for the season when the new Bernabéu will be inagurated. The club, in partnership with Adidas (shirt sponsor since 1998 and at least until 2028), unveiled the new shirt on Wednesday with David Alaba as master of ceremonies in the making of video. The new shirt will be worn publicly for the first time by Jude Bellingham, whose presentation is scheduled for tomorrow at midday in Valdebebas. The kit abandons the polo collar and returns to the round one, with a small detail where the trimming meets at the front. In the neck area on the reverse, the classic slogan: “Hala Madrid!”.

In addition to white and gold, the club has opted for navy blue as the third colour, which will decorate part of the neck and, above all, the dorsal areas. A design with which Adidas has sought to convey “elegance” and “grandeur”. Gold featured in the 2019-20 shirt, but discreetly hidden among the white. Before that, you have to go all the way back to the 2011-12 season, record-breaking campaign, when gold was a prominent component in the home kit.

New shirt is already on sale

The club is very satisfied with the design, with sales forecasts being very high. From today, the shirt will be available at the club’s official stores, as well as through the website. With Bellingham’s arrival now confirmed, the new signing will pose in the new kit when he is officially unveiled at Real Madrid City tomorrow afternoon. That is when we will also discover what squad number the English midfielder will wear: 14, 24... or 22, if Rüdiger is still manning the iron-on heat press...
