The extraordinary salaries of the Premier League’s top players leaked
The mind-blowing wages of the top Premier League players have been leaked.
Spotrac has released its latest ranking of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, and the top spots show little change from previous seasons.
Leading the list is Kevin de Bruyne, 34, who earns $27 million per year. However, he may need to renegotiate this figure soon, as his contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the season.
Following de Bruyne is his City teammate Erling Haaland, with an annual salary of $25.3 million. Next on the list is Casemiro, who earns $23.7 million at Manchester United after moving from Real Madrid.

In fourth place is legendary Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, also earning $23.7 million. Raheem Sterling rounds out the top five with a salary of $22.9 million. Interestingly, while Sterling is now playing on loan for Arsenal, his salary is still tied to his Chelsea contract, with Arsenal covering a significant portion of it.
One has to look further down the list to find Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold. Despite being one of Liverpool’s captains, he earns $11.8 million per season, making him the third-highest-paid player on the Liverpool roster, behind Salah and Virgil van Dijk, yet significantly behind other Premier League stars like Marcus Rashford, Gabriel Jesus, Jadon Sancho, and Wesley Fofana.
Alexander-Arnold’s contract expires on June 30, and renewal discussions are currently stalled, creating uncertainty about the future of Liverpool’s core players.
While Salah has expressed his desire to stay, and Van Dijk’s extension seems likely, Alexander-Arnold’s future remains in question, with reported interest from Real Madrid, who are said to be monitoring him, among other targets.
In 30th place is the first player from outside the Premier League’s “Big Six” clubs: Tottenham’s Heung-min Son, who earns $12.7 million annually. Meanwhile, recent Ballon d’Or winner Rodri is eighth among Manchester City players, earning $14.8 million.
Notably, the first player outside a “Big Six” club in the rankings is Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United, who sits at 44th place with an annual salary of $10.8 million, according to Spotrac.
