“There’s some frustration on Messi’s part at Inter Miami”
Hérculez Gómez believes Lionel Messi is starting to get frustrated with the situation at Inter Miami.

As Inter Miami looks to move forward and put behind them the heavy blow of their elimination from the CONCACAF Champions Cup at the hands of the Vancouver Whitecaps, criticism and analysis surrounding the Herons remain a hot topic in the United States.
One of the main points of discussion is the current state of Lionel Messi with Inter Miami. According to former U.S. national team player Hérculez Gómez, speaking on ESPN’s Fútbol Américas, the Argentine star is beginning to show signs of frustration with what’s happening on the pitch for the Fort Lauderdale-based club.

“Recent failures are starting to weigh on him”
“Messi tries a pass, a one-two with Fafa Picault, and Picault ends up with the ball stuck at his feet. You can clearly see Messi’s frustration,” Gómez observed. “It’s not boredom—he’s irritated with how things are going. I don’t think he expected this, and the recent failures are starting to weigh on him.”
Gómez also pointed out Inter Miami’s growing dependence on Messi.
He explained that while Messi is by far the best player on the team, a lack of chemistry with many of his teammates and a reliance on familiar connections—like Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suárez—are holding the club back.

“Messi is clearly the most talented player on the field,” Gómez said. “But what’s also obvious is how desperately he needs more support. He gets the ball, plays it, and already knows who he can link up with. From there, it all depends on who he passed it to. If it’s one of his longtime teammates—Alba, Busquets, or Suárez—he knows they’re capable of returning the ball to him and completing the play.”
