The Brazilian winger has been strongly linked to a move to Saudi Arabia, and decisions needed to be made.
Vinicius Jr makes big decision on Real Madrid future
Vinicius Jr. will remain a cornerstone of Real Madrid, with a contract extension set to be announced at the end of the season, according to Manu Carreño on Spain’s El Larguero (Cadena SER). The Brazilian winger, who will turn 25 in July, has resisted lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia to continue his journey in Madrid, reaffirming his status as one of the club’s key figures.
Vinicius, currently contracted until 2027, plans to extend his deal by two or three additional seasons, securing his future at the Bernabéu until 2029 or 2030. Despite persistent rumors fueled by Saudi proposals reportedly reaching astronomical figures, the player remains committed to Real Madrid and has ruled out the idea of a short-term adventure in the Middle East.

Vini: a star firmly rooted in Madrid
Vinicius’ potential departure had been a growing point of speculation in recent months, as Saudi clubs continue to lure global stars with massive contracts. Yet, while the idea of a brief spell abroad – one or two years – may have once crossed his mind, that door now appears firmly closed.
Arriving at Real Madrid in 2018 from Flamengo as a prodigious talent, Vinicius quickly rose through the ranks. His development, from playing in Castilla to becoming one of the world’s elite forwards, has been meteoric. The Brazilian has already collected 14 major trophies in white, including two Champions League titles, three LaLiga crowns, one Copa del Rey, and two FIFA Club World Cups.
From prospect to global superstar
Vinicius’ status as a global football icon was cemented last year when he was named second-best player in the world at the Ballon d’Or gala and The Best FIFA Men’s Player, further showcasing his ascent. Despite Real Madrid’s fluctuating performances this season, the Brazilian has continued to deliver with 20 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.
The contract extension will ensure that Vinicius remains central to Real Madrid’s project as they continue to build a squad capable of maintaining dominance in Spain and Europe.
