América top Mexico’s squad value charts
While fellow Liga MX giants Monterrey and Tigres have tightened their belts in recent years, Las Águilas boast the most valuable squad in the Clausura 2023 tournament, which kicked off on 6 January.
That’s according to the specialist website Transfermarkt, which estimates the team’s overall market worth at $84.5 million - some $7m ahead of their closest challenger.
América come out on top thanks to players of the calibre of Diego Váldes, Jonathan Rodríguez, Brian Rodríguez, Richard Sánchez, Henry Martín and Alex Zendejas.
