While Major League Soccer has grown accustomed to attracting high-profile signings, this winter transfer window has seen relatively quieter moves. However, several noteworthy additions stand out, promising to enhance the league’s competitiveness.

The 10 best MLS signings so far

1. Kévin Denkey

At the top of the list is Kévin Denkey, the most expensive signing so far, joining FC Cincinnati for a transfer fee of approximately $15 million. After four seasons with Cercle Brugge in Belgium’s First Division, Denkey arrives to strengthen the team’s attack, having played nearly 66% of available minutes last season.

2. Aleksey Miranchuk

In second place is Aleksey Miranchuk, who joins Atlanta United for $12 million. The creative midfielder brings his experience from European football, having won one title with Atalanta and five more with Lokomotiv Moscow. Miranchuk’s playmaking abilities will be a key asset to his new squad.

3. Hirving Lozano and Myrto Uzuni

Tied for second at $12 million each are Hirving Lozano and Myrto Uzuni, two left wingers making headlines. Lozano joins MLS as a designated player with the new San Diego franchise, leaving PSV Eindhoven to become one of the league’s marquee names. Meanwhile, Uzuni arrives at Austin FC from Granada, further bolstering their attacking options.

4. Anders Dreyer

San Diego has also added Danish right winger Anders Dreyer from Anderlecht for $5.5 million. Dreyer brings his versatility and European experience to the league’s newest team.

5. Brandon Vázquez

Mexican-American forward Brandon Vázquez returns to MLS after a stint with Monterrey. The striker joins for $9.6 million, bringing firepower to his new squad.

6. Ezequiel Ponce

Ezequiel Ponce heads to Houston Dynamo from AEK Athens. The Argentine forward will reinforce Houston’s attack as they prepare for the upcoming season.

7. Wilfried Zaha

Ivorian left winger Wilfried Zaha joins Charlotte FC on loan from Galatasaray after being unable to secure clearance to play in Turkey’s Süper Lig. His skill and experience will add flair to the team’s offense.

8. Osman Bukari and Luca Langoni

Rounding out the top 10 are Osman Bukari and Luca Langoni. Bukari, a Ghanaian right winger, moves to Austin FC from Red Star Belgrade, while Langoni, an Argentine winger, joins New England Revolution after departing Boca Juniors.

With these signings, MLS continues to attract international talent, further raising the league’s profile and competitiveness.
