Ecuador’s roster mixes European stars with familiar faces from Mexican soccer ahead of a challenging group-stage campaign.

Ecuador at the 2026 World Cup: roster, list, players, group and schedule
Ecuador unveiled its squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, announcing the 26 players selected by head coach Sebastián Beccacece for the tournament.
Who is in Ecuador’s World Cup 2026 roster?
The Ecuadorian Football Federation revealed the roster through a video posted on social media that paid tribute to Ecuadorians who have been forced to leave their homeland over the years. The emotional presentation was headlined by Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo, one of the team’s biggest stars heading into the World Cup.
Beccacece’s squad features several of the country’s top talents playing in Europe, including Kendry Páez of River Plate, William Pacho of Paris Saint-Germain, Piero Hincapié of Arsenal, Pervis Estupiñán of AC Milan and Caicedo. The roster also includes several players well known to fans of Liga MX.

Porque estos 26 van con la misma hambre de 18 millones de ecuatorianos. Con el mismo sacrificio de los que salieron desde abajo y llegaron lejos.

The most prominent representative from Mexico’s top division is Enner Valencia, the Pachuca striker and Ecuador’s all-time leading scorer. Valencia is expected to play a key role as the South American nation looks to make a deep run in the tournament.
Pedro Vite, who plays for Pumas UNAM and recently finished as a Liga MX runner-up, also earned a place in the 26-man squad. Defender Jackson Porozo, currently with Club Tijuana, is another Liga MX player selected by Beccacece.
One of the more unique cases on the roster is Jordy Caicedo. Although the forward currently plays for Huracán in Argentina, he remains under contract with Atlas of Liga MX and will represent Ecuador at the World Cup.
