Qatar at the 2026 World Cup: roster, list, players, group stage schedule and results
Take a look at Qatar’s full World Cup squad, including every player selected by Julen Lopetegui, the team’s schedule and its group-stage opponents.

Led by Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui, Al Annabi, the two-time reigning Asian champions must defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina in their final group game to reach four points, which would likely see them progress to the round of 32. However, they have no margin for error, as failing to win will guarantee elimination.
After a promising opening draw against Switzerland, Qatar were thrashed 6-0 by Canada in their second game.

In a bid to progress to the second stage, Qatar have retained a core of 14 veterans from their 2022 campaign, anchored by their iconic, most-capped captain Hassan Al-Haydos in midfield. The primary attacking spark rests on the shoulders of the lethal duo that spearheaded their Asian Cup triumphs: creative talisman Akram Afif on the flank and prolific striker Almoez Ali—the top scorer across the entire AFC qualification phase with 12 goals—giving Qatar the established chemistry needed to challenge the Group B field.
