When do the USA play at the World Cup 2026? Full schedule, dates, host cities, and times
The USA found out their full World Cup schedule, including host cities and dates.
After we all witnessed Gianni Infantino’s dream come true in Washington D.C., as he read The Hungry Caterpillar to the President of the United States before presenting him with his own medal and an eyesore of a trophy that appeared to have been bought from a bearded man stood with a desk full of antiquities just a few miles outside the legally accessible boundaries of Chernobyl, we now know which teams will play in which group at the upcoming World Cup 2026.
If you didn’t see the draw, fear not, below are all the groups and their respective teams. I will not force you to watch the full show, as it was about as fun as sticking your head inside a Demogorgon’s cloaca.
World Cup 2026 groups:
Group A: Mexico, Korea Republic, South Africa, UEFA Playoff D (Denmark/North Macedonia/Czechia/Republic of Ireland)
Group B: Canada, Switzerland, Qatar, UEFA Playoff A (Italy/Northern Ireland/Wales/Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Group C: Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, Haiti
Group D: USA, Australia, Paraguay, UEFA Playoff D (Turkiye/Romania/Slovakia/Kosovo)
Group E: Germany, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Curacao
Group F: Netherlands, Japan, Tunisia, UEFA Playoff B (Sweden/Ukraine/Poland/Albania)
Group G: Belgium, Iran, Egypt, New Zealand
Group H: Spain, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Cabo Verde

Who will the USA play at the World Cup 2026?
Mauricio Pochettino’s team are in Group D, and will face Paraguay in Los Angeles on June 12th, 2026. Their second game is against Australia, and will take place on June 19th in Seattle. Their third and final group game, which is against one of the UEFA Playoff teams (Turkiye/Romania/Slovakia/Kosovo) on June 25th in Los Angeles.
Which states will the USA play in?
Their opening game, in Los Angeles, will also be the setting for their final group game, at SoFi Stadium. The 70,000-seater bowl is normally home to the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL.
Opened on September 8, 2020, its main event in its short life was the Super Bowl LVI in 2022, won by the Rams on home soil, who beat the Cincinnati Bengals.
The USA’s second game, against Australia, will be played at the home of the Seattle Sounders: Lumen Field. The official capacity for NFL games is 68,740, and while MLS games don’t normally host that many people, it will certainly be full to the rafters when the World Cup comes to town.
