Casemiro can hardly contain his excitement at the thought of playing his first Champions League final and has been drawing on inspiration from the late Alfredo Di Stéfano ahead of the game. “We were chatting in the chaging room and someone pointed out that this is the first final with Di Stéfano in heaven. We have to remember those people - the ones who were very important for Real Madrid”. The Brazilian spoke to the club's television channel about Saturday's match.

State of mind: “I feel very happy and I'm thrilled that the team's in this final; it's also a pleasure to be here with you”.

Evolution. “After playing with Castilla then being able to play in a final, it's fantastic. I'm enjoying every day here like it's a dream”.

Saturday's final. “We know how difficult it's going to be but Madrid has to win. We're going into the game focused and strong”

Marcelo: “We are united, and prepared”

'La Décima': “Of course I remember it. It's one of the best moments of my life”.

'La Undécima' (No.11): “It's difficult to get to a final but we've done it. We have the opportunity to contest the trophy and 'touch wood' win it”

The general mood in the Madrid camp: “We're very united, all of us are ready to play the most important game of the season. We've got to keep our fett on the ground and be patient until the day of the game arrives because there's nothing else we can do. We shouldn't be thinking about anything else. We've been in good form since the midway point of the season. We've worled hard, we've stayed humble, and we have made a lot of sacrifices to get to this final”.

Alarm raised over Cristiano. "He seems fine to me, he's been walking without any problem".

Atlético. "The teams who have made it this far are in the final for a reason. They've had a great season. They're a gritty side, it's going to be very difficult".
