The player from Madeira opened the second of four 'CR7' hotels on Sunday evening. The Lisbon branch opening follows the first of the chain in his native Funchal. Future hotels are planned in Madrid and New York City.

The Brazilian defender is making good progress after injuring himself in the recent LaLiga game against Villarreal. Marcelo will stay working in Madrid this week and is expected to re-join normal training with the squad early next week.

Italian player Marco Verratti has spoken about speculation linking him with a future move to the Santiago Bernabeu. "It's flattering to be linked with Real Madrid but I already play at a big club".
