Women's footballer reports that she was filmed by intruder in changing room showers
A Torrelodones player has reported to the Guardia Civil that she was either filmed or had her photo taken by an unknown idividual who had snuck into the changing rooms during her side's game with Atletico Femenino B
A Guardia Civil investigation is underway in Spain after a women’s football player reported an incident in which an unknown person allegedly tried to film or take photos of her with a mobile phone whilst she was in the changing room showers.
Atletico Femenino B v Torrelodones
The incident happened on Sunday 13 November during an Atletico Femenino B match. The individual who reported the incident was a player for the away side, Torrelodones.
The country’s law enforcement agency, La Guardia Civil, are now working along with Atletico Femenino – the women’s club who represent LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid in Spain’s female leagues – to try and uncover the identity of person responsible for the act.
Hand 'appeared from behind wall'
The Torrelodones player was substituted during the match and claims that while she was showering a hand holding a phone pointed in her direction appeared from behind a wall.
After immediately raising the alarm, efforts were made to find out if someone has been in the area near the changing rooms at Atletico Femenino’s ground in Majadahonda, 16km northwest of Madrid.
No CCTV installed
The club are now speaking with all members of a private security firm who were working that day to attempt to uncover what happened. Unfortunately there are no CCTV cameras installed in the area which could have revealed any coming and goings from the changing rooms.
Mindful of this situation, Atletico are said to have reacted rapidly by putting a plan for increased security measures in place for in time for future games at the Majadahonda base – a location where children’s category teams also play.
