Aké: Chelsea recall defender from Bournemouth loan spell
The Premier League giants have confirmed that the 21-year-old Dutchman, who has impressed this term, is to return to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have recalled Dutch defender Nathan Aké from his loan spell at Bournemouth, the Premier League leaders announced on Sunday.
Youngster has shone at Cherries
Aké joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan in June and has been in impressive form, scoring three goals as Eddie Howe's side have climbed to ninth in the English top flight.
Aké: "I really loved my time at the club"
"I want to say thank you to all the fans at AFC Bournemouth, I really loved my time at the club and I have learned a lot here," Aké said on his Instagram profile.
"I also want to say thank you to the manager, staff and players for all the support and I wish them the best for the rest of the season."
The 21-year-old, who can also play in midfield, joined Chelsea from Feyenoord in 2011 and has previously spent time on loan at Reading and Watford.
