Agreement reached
Rosario Central and Sevilla both confirmed that they have reached an agreement for the transfer of Walter Montoya who will join Jorge Sampaoli's team on a four and a half year deal. Sevilla will pay Rosario a fee of around five million euros for the winger. Only the small print of the contract needs to be agreed on - whether the player will fkly out to Spain to join his new club with immediate effect or whether he will remain on loan at Rosario for the next six months and be incorporated into the Sevilla squad in the pre-season.
The Argentine club issued a statement which read: "After rececing offers from various clubs, we felt that Sevilla's proposal was the best for our institution and for the player, who is keen to further his career in Europe".
Foreign players limit
Should Sevilla decide to bring Montoya on board immediately, they must find an outlet for one of their non-EU players so that the Argentine winger can be registered. Ganso or Hiroshi Kiyotake have the possibility of moving on before the window window closes on Tuesday as neither have featured much under Sampaoli in recent months.
