Gerard Piqué's criticism of referees has landed him with a €3000 fine. This has been stated on Wednesday by La Cadena COPE, which has also specified the breakdown of the fine: €1500 came from the judge, and the other €1500 from the Competition Committee.

This season, the Barcelona defender has repeatedly complained about the state of refereeing; from his famous 'we already know how this works' comment following Barça's 2-1 defeat to Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey, to images on his Twitter account.
Real Madrid's Villarreal comeback caused anger
The Spain international also took to Twitter to vent his frustration following the conclusion of Villarreal vs Real Madrid. He was unhappy after Zidane's side secured a 2-3 victory, having been 2-0 down. Real Madrid were awarded a supposedly soft penalty on the way to that comeback.
