The latest updates relating to Real Madrid as the FIFA Club World Cup draw was conducted and Vinicius Jr makes the headlines again.

FIFA "virus"

Julen Lopetegui will be without 13 key players as the club's internationals jet off to play in the new UEFA Nations League competition and FIFA friendly games. 

Fede Valverde will clock up the highest amount of distance (16.098km) as his Uruguay team face Mexico in Houston (Texas, USA) whilst six players will be on duty for Spain as they face England and Croatia.

The players set to be absent from Valdebebas for the forthcoming week are: Courtois, Carvajal, Ramos, Nacho, Caballos, Asensio, Isco, Varane, Kroos, Valverde, Casemiro, Modric and Gareth Bale.

Vinicius bite goes viral

Atletico Madrid "B'' player Tachi yesterday issues a statement "regretting" biting Castilla striker Vinicius as both clubs contested the Segunda B mini-derby where the Brazilian was on target twice. The video featuring the biting clip has been viewed worldwide with the inevitable global news room comparison being Luis Suarez's bite on Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Vallejo is back 

Good news for Lopetegui as Jesus Vallejo returned to training for the first time since sustaining a serious muscular problem during the club's tour of the United States during the summer. The defender has yet to play a role in the domestic campaign to date amid speculation that the Zaragoza born player would be sent out on loan for the season ahead.

Chivas or Asian Champions League winner

The draw took place this morning in Zurich for the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup which is set to be staged in the United Arab Emirates from December 12-22. Despite the finals for the Asian, African and South American finals still to take place, Madrid will have to over come Mexican side Chivas or the AFC winner in the semi-final. Real Madrid have bagged the coveted CWC on the last three occasions.

AS Roma tickets

Season ticket holders can now buy tickets for the upcoming Champions League group stage tie at the Bernabeu on September 19 against Serie side AS Roma. The general public selling date is set to be Friday 7th of September at 10:00 CEST with tickets starting at 50 euro per person.
