Liverpool's Klopp shocked over Manchester City UEFA ban
Following The Reds' 1-0 victory over Norwich in the Premier League, Jürgen Klopp was asked about the sanctions placed on Pep Guardiola's club.


Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was asked for his thoughts on the UEFA ruling on Friday which saw Premier League reigning champions Manchester City banned from European football for two years. The German admitted the decision was a shock and that he felt for Pep Guardiola and his players.
Klopp reacts to City punishment
"It was a shock when it came out. Completely, 'Wow, what's that'?" he said during a Sky Sports interview after he watched his side win 0-1 at Norwich. "I'm a football guy, I can only speak about football and what Pep has done since he was in England is exceptional.
"All the rest I have no idea. At the moment I can imagine it is really difficult for the sports people to understand. You believe the people you work for and then someone else sees it completely differently.

"I really feel for Pep and the players. It's the first verdict, they will appeal and we will see what happens then.

Following Saturday's narrow win, The Reds now sit 25 points clear of second-placed City with five wins now enough to guarantee Liverpool their first title in 30 years. Their undefeated record is now the joint-fifth best of all-time, level with the best ever from FC Barcelona.
