According to Mundo Deportivo, the injection of €595 million that will allow Barcelona to breathe slightly easier will go ahead after a 10-year loan at 1.98 percent interest was approved and signed with Goldman Sachs.

The loan is divided into a €455 million part and a €140 million renegotiation of part of the club's previous debt. The agreement reached, according to Mundo Deportivo, allows for the issuing of new debt of up to €70 million in case the club has more problems in the future.

The operation will allow Barça to meet its obligations and ensure the implementation of a new strategic plan. The second loan is on its way and it will be used to finance the Espai Barça.

Club president Joan Laporta explained earlier this week that Barcelona have a gross debt of €1.35 billion.
