Liverpool could make bid for Christian Pulisic in January
The team managed by Jürgen Klopp could make a surprising bid for the United States men’s national team player during the next transfer window.
Christian Pulisic scored his second goal of the season in Chelsea’s 3-0 win against Leicester City over the weekend and he is regaining his top form after suffering a lengthy ankle injury. The United States men’s national team player has had a tough time at Chelsea dealing with injuries and earning the trust of manager Thomas Tuchel.
Pulisic could switch teams during the winter window
Chelsea has managed to perform at the highest level without the USMNT playmaker and since Tuchel took over the job last year, he is mostly being used as a substitute. The situation is not ideal for the 23-year-old because he wants to play as much as possible and several teams have been eyeing his situation at Stamford Bridge.
According to the Daily Star, Liverpool could make a surprising bid to sign Pulisic during the January transfer window. The Reds want to win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League this season and they think the American player could strengthen their attack.
There is also certain uncertainty over the future of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, who are both 29-years-old, and their contracts expire in 2023.
